A LITTLE ABOUT OUR CLUB
Established in February 2021, the Golf South Ayrshire Golf Club offers regular fixtures utilising each of the Council Golf Courses.
Competitions are set up so that men, women and juniors have the opportunity to compete together for the in the same competition and choose which tee they wish to play from.
There are no fixed competition days, other than monthly medals, which gives you the flexibility to play in the competition, when you are available to do so.
The club is affiliated to Scottish Golf which offers members the opportunity to obtain a WHS Handicap and play in Open Competitions, as well as opening the to many of the courses which request a handicap certificate to play.
WHO CAN JOIN?
To join the Club it is £60 for adults and for under 18’s the cost is FREE*.
*You must be in possession of a valid Golf South Ayrshire Season Ticket, or FLEXI Membership.
WHICH COURSES AND DAYS DO YOU HOLD COMPETITIONS ON?
The club uses each of the Council courses in rotation and run for the full week. All you need to do is to register for the competition via the Golf Club App and choose which day you wish to play it on. You can also choose which tee you wish to register to play on, our default tees are Yellow for Gents and Red for Ladies.
Our Summer Competitions run throughout May to October with a Winter Competition held on Seafield and Fullarton Golf Courses.
We also have a number of monthly medals played on a Sunday (this is the only competition with a fixed day).
The majority of our competitions are stableford, however we are constantly evolving our competition schedule dependent on our members feedback.
DO YOU HAVE OTHER COMPS SUCH AS OPENS, TEAM MATCHES ETC?
We also organise individual and doubles matchplay events and have a number of Open Competitions planned throughout the season. These are open to competitors of all gender, age and ability.
WHAT ARE THE OTHER BENEFITS OF JOINING YOUR CLUB?
Playing Golf is a great way to meet new friends and socialise all at the same time. We have a friendly and welcoming membership who pro-actively welcome new golfers into their group so that no-one is left looking for a game!
As a new club we are constantly improving and offering our members more.
