South Ayrshire Junior Golf Pre-handicap Open in association with The Dunfermline Building Society

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

The Tournament is played over Troon Fullarton Golf Courses using Junior Tees and is open to all golfers aged 8 years and over and under the age of 18.

In the event of an over-entry, numbers shall be reduced on a first come basis by date of receipt of entry.

All entries are subject to the approval of the Organising Committee, who retain the right to refuse or accept any entry and shall not be called upon to give any reason for their action.

Completed entries must be sent by Monday 21st July 2008 to Events Section, 5th Floor, Burns House, Burns Statue Square, Ayr, KA7 1UT, accompanied by the entry fee. All cheques/postal orders should be made payable to ‘South Ayrshire Council’.

In the event of a competitor having to cancel the entry fee will not be refunded.

The Tournament will be under the charge of the Organising Committee to whom all disputes will be referred and whose decision shall be final. The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend the conditions of the Tournament.

No caddies will be permitted.

Motorised golf trolleys and vehicles shall not be permitted for use during this Tournament, unless specifically authorised by the Organising Committee.

Parents/guardians must not influence or advise competitors on the golf course and are welcome to follow their child round the course but must keep a reasonable distance away at all times.

Officials wearing high visibility vests will be at each green to escort players to the next tee and to assist with marking competitors scorecards.
Scorecards should be returned to the registration desk immediately upon completion of play.

Trophies will be presented on conclusion of play to best score in each category (categories will be displayed on the day).

It is hoped that prize winners shall will attend the presentation, which shall be held shortly after the after the completion of the final game.

All competitors shall play from the same tees.

After 3 failed attempts to play from a bunker, a competitor may throw his or her golf ball nearer the hole for no penalty, with only 3 failed strokes counting.

Not more than 10 strokes in total will be recorded at any hole and a maximum of 4 putts per green will be permitted.

Competitors are requested to register with the official starter at least 20 minutes prior to their tee-off time.
