AYR GOLF WEEK

CONDITIONS
2008 sees the 57th year of Ayr Golf Week which is open to all amateur golfers who are members of a recognised golf club and are holders of a senior club handicap. Play will be in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and with the local rules supplied by the committee to each member on acceptance of entry.

Preferred times are not guaranteed.

No refund will be given in the event of cancellation due to bad weather conditions. Full conditions will be issued after the closing date when the draw is posted to each competitor.

Two qualifying rounds, one over Belleisle, one over Seafield. on Monday and Tuesday , then:

The 32 players returning the lowest scratch aggregate scores qualify for matchplay over Belleisle on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Tam o’Shanter Tournament (participation is optional).

The 32 players returning the lowest net aggregate scores qualify for matchplay over Belleisle on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Handyside Tournament under full handicap (participation is optional).

Maximum Handicap 18. Players with a higher handicap may enter but will be restricted to a handicap of 18. Any change in handicap must be notified to the Starter when checking in for the first competition. Players will then retain that handicap for the duration of Ayr Golf week.

STABLEFORD COMPETITION
Over Seafield Golf Course on Thursday 5th June. Stableford rules. Full handicap. Entry forms will be issued at the event.

SENIORS COMPETITION
Over Dalmilling Golf Course on Friday 6th June. Entry £6.00. Open to ladies and gentlemen of 50 or over on 1st January 2008.
