Terms and Conditions
Bookings
- Bookings should be made by telephoning our central booking number (Tel 01292 616255).
- Bookings should then be confirmed within 24 hours, either by fax (Tel 01292 616284) or by e-mail (golf@south-ayrshire.gov.uk).
- We will send you a detailed booking list each month.
- This list should be checked thoroughly as you are responsible for payment for the bookings shown on the list.
- Make sure that each booking contains a party name and the correct number of players.
- If there are changes to a booking, let us know as soon as possible and definitely within seven days of the day of play.
- Remember If you don’t let us know of changes within seven days of the day of play you will be responsible for payment of the bookings as shown on the list you have been sent.
Invoicing
- You will be invoiced each month in arrears.
Three Simple Steps
- Step 1 - In the first week of the month, we will send you a summary of your invoice. This will reflect the booking list sent to you, therefore it is important that you check the list to be sure that it is accurate.
- Step 2 - Approximately a week later we will send the invoice. This will only show the amount due and payable by you.
- Step 3 - Payment must be made within fourteen days of receipt of the invoice. Use the payment slip attached to the invoice to send us your remittance.
Should you fail to pay the invoice within 14 days, we will then issue a second invoice for the full Green Fee rates and suspend you from the Golf for Tourists 2011 scheme.

Golf for Tourists Scheme 2011
Welcome to the Golf for Tourist Scheme 2010, the new Scheme has the same great benefits and ease of use as before. The philosophy remains the same, added value to the golfing product in South Ayrshire whilst promoting economic benefit to the wider community by filling bed space in local hotels. Working together we can all benefit, as the aim of the Scheme is to help bring tourists to South Ayrshire and ensure that they come back!
Membership benefits of the Golf for Tourists Scheme 2011
Free inclusion on our website: Reach the many golfers that find out about the Golf South Ayrshire courses through our website. All Scheme members are listed with contact details displayed, plus a free link to your own website.
Value for Money: All prices to members are discounted allowing members to offer attractive packages to their customers. There are also products available to members that are not available to the general public. Golfers who book through members’ businesses really do benefit, as does your business of course from increased bed nights. A price list is supplied for your information; one look and you will see how attractive the rates are.
Choice:With eight superb golf courses and a wide range of packages and bookings available Monday to Sunday 52 weeks of the year golfers are spoilt for choice. This allows discerning golfers to fit in the courses they want to play, when they want to play. But be warned, book early to avoid disappointment especially at peak times.
Quality: Our courses may be municipal but don’t be misled. Ayr Belleisle is a true championship test having hosted many PGA tournaments in its time most recently the Sunderland Masters. Troon Lochgreen has played host to Open qualifying and Troon Darley was recently rated as the fourth hardest course in Scotland to play to your handicap. All eight courses are kept in tiptop condition by our own team of highly trained and well-respected greenkeepers.
Ease of use:We have refined a simple and easy booking system for members over the years. All you have to do is telephone a booking to a central booking number (01292 616255) and our highly trained staff will assist you to make a suitable booking/s that you then confirm, within 24 hours, by fax or e-mail. Staff can advise on the best value package for both you and your customer/s and on the best times to enable the games of golf you want to book.
Payment: You are responsible for simply collecting the green fees from your customers so that when they arrive at the course to play they report to our Starters, collect a scorecard and go play golf, no hassles and no hold ups just a good days golf. We will invoice you for all bookings that you have made on a monthly basis and supply you with a booking list to check at the start of each month, to enable you to forward the green fees you’ve collected, it really is that simple.
